THE "ART WITHOUT THE ARTIST"

The financial component in the art world has grown disproportionately, to the point that today, at fairs, exhibitions, and across the media, financial and economic aspects are increasingly emphasized, while the artistic and creative dimensions are being sidelined.

Arteconomy is a critical response to this distorted evolution that has been progressively manifesting in the art world over the past decades. Arteconomy eliminates the figure of the artist and, paradoxically, employs financial terms and concepts to make the imbalance between art and economics, now tipped in favor of the latter, unmistakably evident.

The "Continuity" series is the artistic expression of Arteconomy:
a sequence of works that are all the same, yet each one is unique,
where the sales mechanism is itself an integral part of the artwork.
“Incremental Emotion” and “Emotional (Co)Dividend” are neologisms coined by Arteconomy to explain its pricing structure and to affirm its value—offering, for the first time in history, a guaranteed return for the collector.

La componente finanziaria nel mondo dell'arte ha acquisito ormai un peso eccessivo, al punto tale che oggi nelle fiere, nelle mostre, sui media si parla sempre più degli aspetti finanziari ed economici tralasciando l'aspetto artistico e creativo.

Arteconomy è la denuncia di questo sviluppo deviato che si è manifestato nel mondo dell'arte in modo sempre più crescente negli ultimi decenni. Arteconomy elimina la figura dell'artista e paradossalmente utilizza termini e concetti propri del mondo finanziario per rendere definitivamente evidente lo squilibrio tra arte ed economia a favore di quest'ultima.

La serie "Continuity" è l'espressione artistica di Arteconomy:
una serie di opere tutte uguali ma tutte diverse il cui
meccanismo di vendita è parte integrante dell'opera stessa.

sono i neologismi di Arteconomy che vogliono spiegare il perchè del suo prezzo e dare certezza al suo valore fornendo, per la prima volta al mondo, un rendimento certo al collezionista.

Arteconomy

Arteconomy is a conceptual art movement of protest that merges art and finance, making the latter an essential and structural component of the artwork itself, and rendering the role of the artist almost irrelevant.

The concept was born from "Five Gallery", a contemporary art gallery based in Lugano (Switzerland), and was officially launched on November 25, 2016, as a provocative response to the overwhelming dominance of finance and economics in the art world.
With Arteconomy, you are not just acquiring an artwork, you are acquiring a fully-fledged brand (registered trademark).

Arteconomy è un movimento artistico di denuncia che fonde arte ed economia, rendendo quest'ultima elemento essenziale e costitutivo dell'opera d'arte stessa e trasformando in superfluo il ruolo dell'artista.

L'idea nasce da "Five Gallery", una galleria d'arte contemporanea di Lugano (Svizzera) e viene presentata per la prima volta il 25 novembre 2016, come risposta provocatoria al peso eccessivo che la finanza e l'economia hanno raggiunto nel mondo dell'arte.
Non solo avrete un'opera d'arte, ma un vero e proprio brand ufficiale (marchio registrato).

Continuity

Arteconomy finds its first expression in the artwork "Continuity".
Continuity is a series of sequentially numbered pieces, each made from a cut of recycled carbon fiber (using a patented method) through an innovative industrial process.
The final object is placed between two sheets of glass and framed in black wood (93x83cm), establishing an initial connection between real-world economics and contemporary art.

Arteconomy trova la sua prima espressione nell'opera "Continuity".
Continuity è una serie di opere numerate progressivamente composte da un taglio di fibra di carbonio riciclata (metodo brevettato) mediante un processo industriale innovativo.
Il risultato viene posto all'interno di due lastre di vetro e incorniciato con del legno nero (93x83cm), creando una prima interrelazione tra economia reale e arte.

Emozione incrementale

Arteconomy is expressed through the evolution of its sales price, which becomes a core element of the artwork itself. Starting at 500 CHF for Continuity 1, the price increases consistently by 100 CHF with each subsequent sale: Continuity 2 is priced at 600 CHF, Continuity 3 at 700 CHF, and so forth.
This steady increase is not driven by rising demand, but symbolizes the emotion experienced by each collector at the moment of purchase.

This price increase, termed Incremental Emotion, is entirely donated to charity, with the aim of repositioning the social value of art above its current elitist perception.
Emotion generates emotion.

Arteconomy trova espressione nel movimento del prezzo di vendita che diventa parte integrante dell'opera stessa: partendo da un prezzo di 500 CHF per “Continuity 1” il valore aumenta in modo costante (100 CHF) ad ogni opera venduta: di conseguenza “Continuity 2” vale 600 CHF, “Continuity 3” 700 CHF e così via.
L'incremento costante del prezzo non è legato all'aumento della domanda, ma rappresenta l’emozione che ogni collezionista prova al momento dell’acquisto.

Questo incremento, definito Emozione Incrementale, viene interamente devoluto in beneficienza, con l'intento di rimettere in primo piano l'aspetto sociale dell'arte rispetto all'attuale valore elitario. Emozione porta emozione.

All Arteconomy collectors form a community that, within the concept, is perceived as a corporation. And just like every growing company that generates profits and distributes dividends, Arteconomy distributes not just a dividend, but an Emotional (Co)Dividend*.

Specifically, Arteconomy redistributes 10% of the net revenue from the sale of each new Continuity artwork among all previous collectors—an entirely innovative model that allows every collector of the Continuity series to benefit directly from Arteconomy’s growth and success.

* Italian wordplay mixing up “to share” (condividere) and “dividend” (dividendo)

Tutti i collezionisti di Arteconomy costituiscono una community che in Arteconomy è vista come una società; e come in tutte le società che quando crescono producono utili e distribuiscono dividendi, anche Arteconomy distribuisce un dividendo o meglio un (Con)dividendo Emozionale.

Arteconomy infatti distribuisce il 10% del prezzo netto incassato dalla vendita di ogni nuovo Continuity diviso fra tutti gli acquirenti precedenti: una formula assolutamente innovativa che permette a tutti i collezionisti della serie “Continuity” di beneficiare direttamente della crescita e del successo di Arteconomy .
